Kapow! – written by British author Adam Thirlwell and published by Visual Editions – tells the story of a group of interconnected characters caught up in the whirlwind of revolution during the Arab Spring. The over-doped, over caffeinated, unnamed narrator’s tales spin off into wild digressions and so does the text, requiring the reader to unfurl and rotate the pages to keep up. I worked with designers Studio Frith and the Netherlands-based printer die Keure to produce the complex design.
Nominated for Designs of the Year 2013.
